A couple from one of the big things in London in 1972 - the Tutankhamun exhibition. I was too young and got left behind with the grandparents, while The Brother fell asleep in the queue.
And a separate trip in '72, down to stay with my father's sister in West Dulwich.

The third annual visit to photograph the happening people of King's Road.OK, I know this one isn't King's Road - it's Piccadilly Circus - and the people are probably slightly less trend-setting than the fashionistas of Chelsea, but it's still worth posting....
Famous car
July 1968 on the King's Road - A Bentley S1, registration 222 APL. It was decorated by some bloke who married the flat-mate of our current next door neighbour when she lived in Liverpool. That's not why I've posted this pic - he was slightly more famous for something else. Her name was Cynthia - she married John Lennon...See this website for a colour image - scroll down a bit....

It would appear that my father visited the King's Road in Chelsea a few times in the late 1960s and early 1970s to photograph the nation's trend setters. It looks like he went every summer from 1967 to 1975.
These are from 1967 and 1968, and it'll be interesting to see how the fashions change over the years!
